Non-Realty items:

 eCRV Project: Go to the Minnesota Department of Revenue web site for an explanation and progress of the Property Tax Division eCRV project .

Local Board of Appeal and Equalization Training:  Training for township or city officials to fullfil the requirements of the 2003 legislation. Explanation and schedule from the Department of Revenue web site (there are no sessions currently scheduled).

Property Tax Law Summaries:  Department of Revenue has published the 2005 and 2006 PROPERTY TAX LAW SUMMARIES. Go to the Legislative page to download the PDF versions. The 2007 Summary will be posted as soon as it is available after the session concludes.
 
Board of Assessors:  The Minnesota State Board of Assessors is the public body regulating the conduct and ethics of property tax professionals in the state. Information about educational requirements for licensure and continuing education requirements can be found on the Board's site.

Welcome to the Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers (MAAO) web site!

Stephen Behrenbrinker

MAAO is an organization of over 650 Minnesota Assessors and other individuals interested in assessment administration.  The purpose of our web site is to provide information about our organization and links to related web sites.  As you can see from scrolling through this site we are a vibrant organization that has active members that serve as officers, committee chairpersons and committee members.  MAAO has award winning publications and excellent on-going educational offerings for assessment personnel at all levels of licensure.  Other highlights of this web site include job postings, mentorship programs, applications and registration forms, association news and membership information.

MAAO offers opportunities for all of its members to become involved in our association activities through conferences, seminars, regional meetings, committees and educational programs.   Please feel free to contact me at 320-650-3352 or by email or any member of the MAAO Executive Board if you have comments or questions.

About Us
MAAO is a nonprofit, educational and professional organization dedicated to the improvement of ad valorem assessment administration in Minnesota. Our mission statement  was recently adopted by our Executive Board. MAAO has been supporting quality assessments since 1949 and assists assessors in becoming informed of the latest developments in the assessment and appraisal professions by:
