The Professional Development Committee of MAAO has recently established a Regional Assessor Mentorship program for our members. The following list of experienced, knowledgeable assessors have volunteered to assist assessors on a regional basis with any assessment related issue. Each of these mentors have been provided a “MAAO Resource Toolkit” with information on many topics such as, assessor licensing, tax court issues, sample reports, sample public relations items, Department of Revenue and Board of Assessor information and much more.
So if you have a question that you need some advice with or just want to discuss an idea with a colleague, please contact the mentor in your region or any other mentor on the following list. They may not have an answer for you (but don’t be surprised if they do!) but they can provide other resources for you or at least listen and give you some feedback.
