About Us

MAAO is a nonprofit, educational, and professional organization dedicated to the improvement of ad valorem assessment administration in Minnesota.  MAAO has been supporting quality assessments since 1949 and assists assessors in becoming informed of the latest developments in the assessment and appraisal professions by hosting educational courses, promoting professional designations, awarding scholarships, and monitoring legislative issues.

Obtaining a MN Assessor License

The Minnesota State Board of Assessors is the public body regulating the conduct and ethics of property tax professionals in the state. Information about educational requirements for licensure and continuing education requirements are available to all MAAO Members. Log in to see more.
