Description : Have you ever thought about being an instructor? Have an intere st in assisting with a course? Then this is the workshop for you!
Bei ng an instructor does not necessarily mean you have to teach a weeklong cou rse. Maybe you have an interest in assisting with Summer Seminar, Fall Conf erence, virtual workshop, or a short course that MAAO offers.
The MA AO New Instructor Workshop is free of cost and intended to give future inst ructors encouragement, resources, and guidance. This informal workshop incl udes a few current instructors and education committee members presenting t heir experiences, discussion of the resources available to new instructors, and some participant engagement.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellatio n requests received prior to 8:00am five business days prior to the start o f the course will be issued a refund, less a $30 administration fee. Cancel lation requests received after this time or registrants who fail to attend the course are responsible for the entire fee. If a registrant is unable t o attend the event, a substitute from the jurisdiction that paid the regist ration fee can attend at no additional charge. Please send written notifica tion of this change or cancellation requests to educationcoordinator@mnmaao.org. Although it is n ot the policy of MAAO to cancel a course or seminar, MAAO reserves the righ t to do so and provide a full refund if the minimum enrollment level is not reached. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of the course o r conference.
COVID-19 Considerations: MAAO is foll owing the current guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health. Each educational offering is subject to cancellation if mandated by the Gov ernor or due to a change in COVID conditions. A 100% refund will be process ed for any registrant due to a COVID-related cancellation. Attendance at an y course is at the risk of the employer and attendee. MAAO will not be held liable.
