Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers

Terry and Dan Whitman at the 2014 MAAO Banquet

Welcome to the website for the Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers, we’re glad you’ve visited us. If you browse around our site you will find a number of helpful links whether you’re looking for some information about how we do things here in Minnesota or you’re interested in joining our profession. It’s a standing joke in our profession that rarely do you find a person who grows up with aspirations to become an assessor but once we’ve entered the profession we find it very rewarding.

MAAO has been presented with a number of large challenges here in Minnesota over the past few years but we’re excited to continue meeting these challenges of the day and look forward to moving our profession forward to do an even better job. We are currently working on rapidly and vastly expanding our excellent educational offerings to assist a whole new generation of young assessors just starting their careers.

Once again thanks for visiting and if you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me. I truly enjoy attempting to help people enter our profession.
